Adopting India’s traditional methods of yoga, ayurvedic treatments, medicines and organic materials is in trend nowadays or we can say is the need of today’s world. Climate changes, increased pollution, lowered air quality and less greenery is a major concern now for the world. Though we have many technologies to have pure air to breathe and have a healthy life still it is not very efficient and has long-term effects. As today people spend 80% of their time in buildings whether it is in offices, schools, colleges or homes, why can’t we make our houses green by adopting eco-friendly home interior designs.
It appears to be a small change in itself but can have a huge impact on our lives. Nature has given us enormous resources and if our small change can save it from further suffering, it will only make our lives more sustainable. According to one of the surveys by TERI, it is estimated that if all the buildings in urban areas of India get transformed to green buildings, India can save up to 8,400 MW of power which can provide energy to 550,000 homes in India per year.
